Classes Offered

Swim Now is a “learn to swim” program that is considered accelerated. We find that teaching swim lessons for 2 consecutive weeks for 25 minutes each day ensures that the swimmer gains the most of out each session. On the last day, the adult present gets to watch the lesson pool side and learns everything the swimmer was taught through out the week. This gives you the confidence to continue to practice their new skills at home. However, on days 1-4 the adult present CANNOT be visible to the swimmer during the lesson. It’s hard for the swimmers at first because the instructor is a NEW person teaching them a NEW skill. It may be uncomfortable for the new swimmer at first and there may be a few tears but we got this!

Swim Program
After the 8 days your swimmer will be given a station number
Station 1
swimmers will learn to kick, hold their breath, work on floating independently, and gain a respect for the water. The swimmer is still considered hands-on.
Station 2
swimmers are able to swim short distances on their own. They are able to either float independently or turn themselves around and return to a given destination, should they fall or jump into the water.
Station 3
swimmers will be introduced to beginning stroke work and are starting to gain endurance in the water. These swimmers will be able to independently get a breath and then continue swimming on their own.
Station 4
swimmers are considered swim team ready. They know how to correctly swim the strokes of freestyle and backstroke as well as being introduced to the strokes of butterfly and breaststroke.

4 Day Technical Stroke Program
A personalized technique consultation. With specific drill instruction based on your strokes strengths and weaknesses. Nutritional advice, strength and conditioning exercises, and race strategy etc.
Continuation Lessons
Continuation lessons are perfect for the swimmer that may not have access to the pool for practice or maybe they just need a little extra 1 on 1 instruction. After completing your accelerated program your instructor may suggest continuation lessons to solidify the skills learned.
